Description

The combined single or multi chamber solvent and aqueous system is designed for:

 

  • Oil based contaminations need to be degreased initially and then in a second step an aqueous based passivation is required
  • Water based contaminated parts (ex. water based coolant) need to be treated with RP (rust preventative) after cleaning or have to meet high cleanliness specs.
  • A combination of the above

 

Roll is the first company combining both processes in a single chamber system using the same work chamber. All other accessories / processes such as ultra-sound, pressure flooding, vapor degreasing and vacuum drying are possible in this process as well.

  • Single and multi-chamber systems

There are usually three types of standard cleanliness requirements:

  1. Gravimetry

The total weight of the particles can characterize the cleanliness of the parts

  1. Microscopy

The size, material and number of particles, classified in specific sizes will define specific cleanliness levels. Most automotive OEM’s use this or a similar method of a base for their individual specification

  1. Surface Tension

The DYNE specification measures the surface tension on part surfaces, primarily prior to and after surface treatment processes. The higher the number, the better the result.

Throughout our inhouse cleaning laboratory, cleaning results can be verified, and reports will be made available for our customers.

The basis for all inspections of technical cleanliness is regulated in the VDA 19, the Association of the German Automotive industry.
