MITSUBISHI SG70 SINKER EDM
Description
The Mitsubishi SG70 Sinker EDM is a cutting-edge solution designed to deliver unparalleled precision and efficiency in electrical discharge machining. Featuring the new Mitsubishi M800 CNC control, this machine provides enhanced user-friendliness and high-speed processing, ensuring optimal performance for complex machining tasks. The integration of Mitsubishi’s Maisart technology (Mitsubishi’s AI-based Smart Art) further boosts productivity through intelligent machining processes, reducing cycle times and improving accuracy.
The SG70 also includes the innovative IDPM3 (Intelligent Digital Power Manager 3), which optimizes power control for consistent machining quality and longer electrode life. This combination of advanced technologies makes the Mitsubishi SG70 Sinker EDM a top choice for manufacturers seeking to elevate their capabilities in high-precision industries such as aerospace, medical, and automotive.
- Compact Highly-Rigid Machine Design using CAE (computer aided engineering) guarantees increased accuracy and repeatability through increased casting foot print size and mass. Other advancements include:
o The rigid structure of machine head provides stable machining
o New casting design provides easy setup access by a Handy Lifter - Moving Column Design allows for greater workpiece weight capability and easier loading / unloading of work pieces. This is accomplished through the use of a unique combined axis linear motion way system that supports X and Y-axis in the same guide block.
- Direct Drive Ball Screws and Linear Motion Guide Ways insure proper support and accurate head movement in the X, Y, and Z-axis.
- New Z-Axis Design incorporates a new larger diameter ball screw to provide excellent positioning accuracy during new levels of high-speed jump machining.
- The Newly Designed AC Smart Servo Drive System allows unexcelled cutting accuracy and high speed positioning with a 0.05μm motor resolution.
- Z-Axis Linear Scale (Standard) 0.1 μm pitch resolution greatly enhances static positioning and machining accuracy.
- Thermal Displacement Compensation Control utilizes a thermally isolation cabin structure with temperature sensors that constantly monitor changes in the environment.
- New Three-Sided Drop Tank Design provides many additional benefits.
o Finer step height control provides 36 half inch incremental steps. o Fast fill/drain keeps the tank height and fluid level constant.
o New drive system provides smoother/faster tank operation.
o Programmable fluid circulation can be used at zero tank height for improved thermal stability during job setup and removal.
• New Easy Access Triple-Filter System is now located at the back of the machine which helps to reduce the required floor space. The system is configured so each filter can be changed with no machining interruption. Two pumps are provided to maintain rapid tank fill and proper filter circulation.
- New High-Inertia Style C-Axis now provides a highly-rigid high-accuracy system that allows flushing through the head. Constant rotation burning capability from 1 to 30 RPM is possible.
- Dielectric Fluid Requirement is reduced 25% compared to Mitsubishi conventional EDM machines.
- New power Supply/Control Design creates a single cabinet configuration which can be repositioned to the left side of the machine, unique to the industry, for easier automation access.
- Jog Operation Speed is customizable up to a maximum of 7M/min. (275”/min.) to reduce setup time.
- New Narrow Gap Circuit for lower wear using copper or copper-tungsten electrodes. Useful in small undersized electrodes (less than 0.0012”)
- High Accuracy positioning circuit is included to improve part and electrode pickup.
