VM Series Machining Centers

Hurco’s VM Series machining centers have become the fastest growing in their class. Their popularity comes from the VM’s unique ability to provide exactly what machinists want in a remarkably small package.

The extraordinarily large work cube and small footprint (the VM's most unique features) optimize shop floor utilization. Two challenges always face a shop – how much space the machine will take up and what kind of work the spindle bearing can handle. The VM series offers the best combination in the industry.

The 20-station, swing-arm, automatic tool changer keeps the tools out of the work envelope. You can select the spindle most appropriate to your applications – 8,000 or 10,000 rpm.

The VM has the smallest footprint in the industry with surprisingly large work cubes and travels.
The work cube is even better because the swing-arm ATC is out of the way and doesn’t interfere.

VMX Machining Centers

The VMX Series, Hurco’s signature line of vertical machining centers, matches its industry-leading productivity with its flexibility. These machines have been created specifically to take advantage of Hurco’s powerful WinMax control.

The VMX provides greater part accuracy and better surface finish by using digital drives, larger ballscrews, larger linear rails and heavier servo drives. These machines are specifically designed and built for speed in every area. The increased metal removal rates and higher feed rates significantly decrease part cycle times.

The VMX spindle coolant jacket is standard and designed into the frame head casting. It reduces heat disapation while stablizing large temperature variations. It's a simple yet very effective way to keep the spindle at optimum temperature, and the machine cutting with unquestioned precision. Higher duty cycles may require the thermo compensation spindle oil chiller option package.

5-Axis & Horizontal Machining Centers

The VTXU is ideal for 5-axis positioning work on complex, multi-sided parts where reductions in setup time and overall part accuracy are crucial. The highly productive HTX500 brings horizontal efficiency and productivity to the Hurco product line.
Hurco's newest 5-Axis machining center, the VMX42SR, was designed with a swivel head and horizontal rotary table to meet the demands of 5-Axis machining without taking up the floor space typically required.

The traveling column provides the speed, precision and power required for advanced machining processes. The VTX/HTX is capable of very high contour machining rates with superior surface finishes.

Hurco Turning Centers

Hurco's TM Series of slant-bed turning centers are innovative and unique in that they combine productive machine specifications and solid iron with Hurco’s powerful and flexible MAX control.

The TM Series is ideal for job shops and contract manufacturers who need efficient processing of small to medium sized lots. We start with solid iron to construct a small footprint machine with a large work cube. Our design allows you to get the most out of your valuable shop floor space while still having the flexible work area you need. The TM is currently available in three chuck sizes: 6, 8 and 10 inches.

These lathes are also designed to provide fast set-ups and cycle times. The fast turret keeps cycle times short, yet is easy to access for faster tool setups. A wide variety of productivity enhancing options and accessories are also available for the TM series including tailstocks, chip management systems, tool setters, parts catchers and bar feeders.

At the heart of the TM Series is the power and flexibility of the Hurco MAX control. The control can be programmed on the shop floor with Hurco's patented conversational programming language. Hurco conversational is not only easy to learn and use, it can also significantly reduce programming times compared to NC programming. Users who prefer NC can also program and edit on the shop floor with the Hurco control. Parts can also be programmed offline using popular CAM software or Hurco's Winmax desktop software. Even CAD files can be converted to programs to run on the TM Series. No other lathe offers this type of power and flexibility. The Hurco control allows users to choose the best method of programming for their shop and for each individual job. Furthermore, the easy to use touch screen provides helpful setup and verification graphics that show cuts on the screen before they are executed--virtually eliminating wasted materials and potential machine crashes.
